Vivid, meaningful visual imagery experienced internally — with eyes open or closed — including light patterns, symbolic imagery, inner landscapes, or revelatory scenes. Distinct from ordinary imagination by their vividness and the sense that they were perceived rather than constructed.

I looked again and was amazed to see that my heart was totally filled with millions of the same points of light all whirling around — they were surging to my head, to my hands and feet, from which they were pouring out into the dark night.

"For ten years everything was made out of vibrating light. I couldn't see any solid form. It takes time to normalize and ground and get back to practical — it took me like 10, 15 years."
