Raw aliveness that collapsed the sense of being an inside observer

What is this

Being in nature — forest, ocean, mountain, desert — appears in about one in eighteen accounts as a direct trigger. Something about the absence of human construction and the presence of raw aliveness seems to create conditions for recognition.

These accounts often describe a moment of dropping into the scene rather than observing it — a collapse of the sense of being an inside observer watching an outside world.

From the accounts
There was a whole section in your book where you're talking about cooperation with nature and devas, and you described this situation in which there was a healthy forest on the astral level, even though the physical forest on the earthly level was totally devastated.
My real self is that mountain, that forest, this earth, that star, that flock of birds. That's who I am. I was so flabbergasted by that.
And in doing so, because the protection was dropped here, when I was out in nature for those long periods of time, the presence that was in the trees and the rocks and the mountains and the birds and the bugs was also able to see the presence that was here in this being.
I was walking outside to take the trash out and then as I was walking in I noticed these two big trees and they were huge — it wasn't a tree anymore, it just looked like a big huge object and I was just staring at it and I couldn't get my gaze off of it.
